I was inspired to do the trek when I saw an appeal, in the Hoddesdon and Broxbourne Mercury, looking for volunteers to partake in the trek- if you see my blog it will explain a lot more about why I'm trekking. Plus, as a nurse, I recognise the need for people like those who work for Isabel Hospice in people's lives when cancer or life limiting illnesses are diagnosed. The practical and emotional support provided by the team is invaluable.
